Summary0006129: Allow Opacity Settings for All
DescriptionThe opacity of the control points in the colormap editor cannot be set interactively or in a file. I have been told this is enabled only for volume rendering. It should be enabled in all cases.

For example, using a modification of ParaView 2.6.1, we used custom colormaps to color data on a plane so that a second plane could show through where the scalars were small. The second plane was a full-color USGS elevation relief map. The result was very effective and I see no good way to do this without the requested feature.

 This would be a really nice feature for 4.0. Lets try to get it in if possible. Marking as high, since it is a showstopper for LLNL users, and would be very valuable for Sandia.
