Summary0012363: Saving as PVTI/PVTU fails if file name contains more than 1 dot
DescriptionPV 3.10.1 official binary release and own build of git master as of now (with AutoMPI ON to be connected to at least 2 pvserver processes, otherwise saving as PVT? is not available):

Sources - Wavelet
File - Save Data - File name: "foo.bar.pvti"

=> ERROR: .../ParaViewCore/ServerManager/vtkSMWriterFactory.cxx, line 361
vtkSMWriterFactory (0x1420b30): No matching writer found.

Failed to create writer for: ".../foo.bar.pvti"


Use "foobar.pvti" as file name instead and everything works smoothly.

The same error occurs when trying to save to PVTU file format (squeeze in a "Filters - Clean to Grid" before trying to save).
