DescriptionThe files

file_0001.tiff, file_0002.tiff, file_0003.tiff

show up as

file_..tiff

in the ParaView Open File dialog box.

However, the files

0001.tiff, 0002.tiff, 0003.tiff

are not be grouped.

After talking with fellow developers we have decided that post extension file series are the only grouping we are going to support. The primary issues with allowing pre and post file extension grouping is the use case of when both happen.
For example if you had:
10.ext.1
10.ext.2
11.ext.1
12.ext.1
12.ext.2

How would you group them? In the end the majority of simulations write out file series as a post extension digit, and the pre extension file series is not prevalent enough to warrant development time.
