[Paraview] Append Attributes: float and double precision

Hi,

if two datasets (e.g. Rectilinear Grid for my case) do share the same grid,
but data is stored with different precision, i.e. float for dataset1 and
double for dataset2, can I still use the "Append Attributes Filter" on
these datasets?
