[Paraview] Plugins in Windows 3.6.2 binary

Okay I just created a virgin SP2 VM and get the same problem as Ken. If I
put the MSVC runtime in a particular Plugins directory (PointSprite for
example) then all is well. So the options are:

1. Run Windows update and get all the latest.
2. Install the VS2008 runtime redistributable by hand. (probably the
simplest option)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A5C84275-3B97-4AB7-A40D-3802B2AF5FC2&displaylang=en
3. Have ParaView run the runtime redistributable (not an option until the
next release) as Robert suggested.
