I think I may have seen this before.  The solution was to delete my config files.  So, if Ken's idea below doesn't work, try deleting the config files.  Instructions on how to do it are on the Paraview WIKI.

It's there under the "Choose Preset" button.  Select the "Blue to Red Rainbow".

How about the RGB map ? I looked at all 5 colormaps & saw no yellow in any of them, all very similar pastel blues, browns, purples & reds .... If that is as expected, then all is well, although I definitely prefer (the option of) the full RGB map from 3.2.n ....
