[Paraview] legacy of vtk files & command line

Hi all,

I'm using Paraview 3.2

1) I would like to open a legacy of vtk files (example.1.vtk, 
example.2.vtk, ..., example.n.vtk) using the command line. However if I 
type:
paraview --data=example.1.vtk
Paraview does not automatically recognizes all the other files. I also tried
paraview --data=example...vtk
Does anyone knows how to do this?

2) If change vtk file, is it possible to reload the data without losing 
all the sittings?
