[Paraview] vtk time seris

I tried once again, but it does not seem to work.

I use .vtu files and not .vtk ones. Could it be the reason why it doesn't
work?

Thank you!

Regards!

But I don't have any problems. For instance I have file0.vtk and file1.vtk.
When I try to open the files I see the group file like file..vtk. Just
selecting this group (not just one file), it works fine for me.

Cheers,

Hom Nath

I'm also interested in using time series.

In ParaView 2.6, I open the file with number 1 and I simply have to click on
the play button to activate the movie generation.

In ParaView 3.x, I do what is explained in
http://paraview.org/Wiki/Animating_legacy_VTK_file_series but when I try to
open the series, it only opens the file with number 1 and I cannot visualize
the series.

Is it normal, or is there a step that I do not do properly?

Thank you!

Hello,

You are in fact very lucky, there are lot of discussion on this topics in
mailing lists. You can find them easily at
http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/paraview/ . But I recommend you to look
first at http://paraview.org/Wiki/Animating_legacy_VTK_file_series.

Good luck
