[Paraview] offscreen rendering worse

Hi,
Because PV doesnt (want to) support polygon offsets I try to rescue 
myself with thicker edges over underlying tets. Looks acceptable on 
screen but terrible on animation export (images). Any ideas how to 
resolve this? Is there really no way to use polygon offsets which VTK 
allows for?
