[Paraview] Newbie Installing ParaView on a 64 bit gentoo machine --latest error

Your /etc/X11R6/xorg.conf probably still needs to be configured for your
hardware, emerge doesn't try to do it for you.

Use glxinfo and glxgears for testing until your xorg.conf is complete -
if they won't run, ParaView won't either.
