[Paraview] Append datasets changed in release 2.4

Hello Paraview developers,

I've been facing a problem in Paraview 2.4 that was absent in release 2.2. 

In the release 2.4 the "append datasets" filter is disabled for multiple
datasets read separately.

In Paraview 2.2 I was able to read several pieces of my model from different
Ensight's case files and after applying the "append datasets" and "clean to
grid" filters Paraview produced the image corresponding to the entire model
(without those MPI communication interface nodes). It was a wonderful
feature for me because I was able to visualize parallel data even running
Paraview in serial mode. Therefore, I need to ask the Paraview developers if
it's a bug of the Ensight's readers, after the recent changes, or this
feature will not be present in the future releases anymore.
