I put the paraview executable in /usr/local.
I found it needed TclTkaqua in order to run (without them it gave an
error 'can't find file tcl... in frameworks...)
I downloaded the .dmg package installer for TclTk BI from the link you
gave and installed (really easy!) and now it works!
