[Paraview] viewing cut planes as 2d planes

If I set opacity = 0 for a single cut plane, only the cut plane can be
seen but is orientated in 3d space. Is it possible to snap to a plane
normal to the viewer? When ParaView starts with a rectangular box as
data the view is a plane normal to the viewer so there must be
parameters that will do this for a single cut plane.
