Summary0009652: Manage Custom filters resets list of applicable filters
DescriptionCreate two sources that produce different kind of mesh types, e.g. Disk and Hierarchical Fractal
Select both objects
=> The alphabetical filter list will have almost all items grayed out as they are not applicable.

Manage Custom Filters and add or remove a custom filter
=> The two objects are still selected, but the alphabetical filter list will have all items enabled.

This one is probably related to 8621.

Reproduced with PV 32-bit Linux 2009-Oct-03 CVS and PV 3.6.1 XP (official release).

Tested with PV 3.8.0 RC2: It does not suffice any more to remove a custom filter to trigger the bug. But importing a custom filter still resets the list of applicable filters: all items in the alphabetical filter list are enabled for the multiselection disk + hierarchical fractal

I could not reproduce this no matter what I tried:
* create a new custom filter -- filters still disabled.
* remove a custom filter -- filters still disabled.
* export -- filters still disabled.
* import -- filters still disabled.

I also cannot replicate this on the trunk. If it is still a bug, please give us really basic steps on how to replicate. For instance, "Manage Custom Filters" - add what custom filter? I tried with create custom filter, and once again, it seemed to work correctly.

I'd like to attach a screen capture plus the custom filter definition I used to trigger the bug in a virtual machine using Debian 5.0.4. So, could an administrator please re-open this bug such that it is possible again to upload files? Thanks.
