Summary0015890: compilation of 4.4.0 source pack uses 'git describe'
Description- create some git repo
- unpack paraview source pack in it
- build in same directory
- paraview compilation uses 'git describe' which does not find .git in the paraview source directory so recurses up and finds version from my git repo.

Workaround:
- not build paraview under another git repo
