| Description | Allowing only a single, top-level data directory for a paraviewweb instance is too restrictive. We need a way to specify multiple directories of data for users to browse, each with their own "short name" to be shown when looking at "Home" in the web file browser. | ||||||||

You can still specify the --data-dir as usual, with just a single path. But you can also give a quoted value like: "myhome=/home/scott/data|scratch=/tmp|..." Which will result in having multiple directories you can browse. When looking at the top-level, currently named "Home" in Web Visualizer, you will see "myhome", "scratch", etc... Clicking on any of those short names takes you to the contents of the associated file system directory. |
