Summary0011587: Select points on doesn't work for Linux, remote server
DescriptionParaView remote server (16 processes, but I bet it replicates with 2-4), Linux client, trunk.

Open disk_out_ref.exo.
Surface with edges.
Select points. Rubber band select over a large area of the base of the disk, or one point - it doesn't matter. Nothing gets selected.

This must be fixed for the 3.10.0 release.

 What version of mpi is being used on the server? I am currently only able to replicate a problem with selection and OpenMPI 1.5

 Oh, one more note. Windows client seemed to work, Linux client shows the bug.

 Fixed the issue that point selection in client server mode was not returning and results. This also fixes an issue when selection was the first interactive render action.

 Reopening since I am concerned that the patch didn't fix client server reverse connection.
Alan would you be able to confirm that you are using reverse connection when you see this problem?

 Unless there is a strange setup, we always use reverse connection. Yes, this is also using reverse connection.
