| Summary | 0012106: RFE: Add ability to compile against system VTK library | ||||
| Description | I package ParaView for Fedora. Fedora has a restriction against packages containing copies of libraries that are separately packaged. So, the ParaView package really should not be building and shipping its own copy of VTK. Now, I know ParaView can be tightly coupled to specific revisions of the VTK library, but we have full control over what revision of VTK is in Fedora as well (I'm essentially maintaining that package at the moment as well). How feasible does this seem to be? | ||||
