I followed your advices about python 2.7 and solved the problem. I downloaded and used the wrong Windows binary (<a class="reference external" href="http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.2/python-2.7.2.amd64.msi">Python 2.7.2 Windows X86-64 Installer</a> - Windows AMD64 / Intel 64 / X86-64
binary).
